Today we celebrate the life of a wonderful man My brother in law Joe.
A man with a vision for the future. He worked all his life to provide for his family. Joe was a man of many talents and trades.
He was a builder, electrician, plumber, welder, stucco, cement, fixing cars, and many other skills. There was nothing in this world that he couldn’t do.
He was always thinking of future innovations like the electric car, the smart car, and all the modern tools on the market, and all new styles of houses to incorporate in his new buildings.
He loved nature, when we built the cottage in Parksville, Joe wished to build a pond and filled it with koi fish of different colors. It was his pride and joy.
He would buy food for the large koi fish and small food for the baby fish. He enjoyed it when he fed them and they jumped for the food. The pond was the attraction of many people and children who visited Parksville.
Joe was a very friendly man. He touched so many lives, from Judges, lawyers, members of parliament and many builders and ordinary people that he met.
He was a very generous man. He always helped people if they needed a hand, if they asked for something, he made sure to get it for them. He was cheerful and always kidding around.
Joe loved his traditional food from Bari Oriecchiette e rapini, ragu on Sunday, focacce, panzerotti, Mario’s prosciutto and salsicce and he loved seafood. One of his favorite snacks was tarallini that Rosa would make. He would take them in his car and drive around to share with his friends.
Often we went to visit him, he was happy to see us and brought him the ricotta that he loved so much.
We took many trips together to Las Vegas and Arizona were we had a great time. The cruise from New York to eastern Canada to Halifax Quebec and Montreal. We will cherish the memories of that trip.
Now we say good bye until we meet again. We will all miss you. You will always be in our hearts.
May god open his arms to you and welcome you in the house of God flying with the Angels.
